156. The Reason Click Funnels Is A Tool Not A Website
Episode 156 of the marketing lyfe podcast. This is Taylor Timothy, your host. And today guys, we are going to be talking about why click funnels is a tool. In my own opinion. It’s not a website, it’s a tool. So I’m going to show you guys. I talked about a little bit about this back on episode 55. I compared e-commerce, custom coding, and all of those different things for your websites and what tools you should use, Shopify, etc. So I talked about that on episode 55. So if you want to go check that out as well, you can. But other than that, guys, let’s talk about why Click Funnels is a tool.
So guys, I had a call to give you guys a little bit backstory on this. I had a client come back to me after a year. Uh, we weren’t, we stopped working together. They went through and burned through a couple different marketers and agencies and said you did the best comeback. So it was a huge win. I’m excited to work back with them, but I just want to show you what happened while I was gone through this time. So it’s pretty crazy what happens to the data, and a little bit of backstory here. So let’s dive in here. So this is the last episode, episode 55 that I was talking about. You guys can go check that out, but I’m going to show you guys some screenshots right now. So basically these screenshots here, you can see that everything was tracking properly. We were converting at 11%, getting form fills and things like that.
So that was a huge win, SEO. This is where it gets crazy for these guys. So in 2021, in the last three months, they’ve had 305 clicks. Before that we were getting around 2,600 clicks a month from our SEO efforts. And we were getting 94,000 impressions. Like everything was moving up, crazy. But basically what had happened is these guys switched over to click funnels. So you can see here, I’m pushing everything. You know, I’m doing SEO, Facebook ads, Google paid ads for these guys and everything was just trending upward. And all of a sudden we saw a massive decline and everything that was going on there. So it’s, it’s absolutely crazy, to see what had happened. So this drop here is when they switched over, they started switching over. I’m guessing in here to click funnels and then basically it just tanked completely and they weren’t getting any traffic.
So it’s crazy that this can happen. Now what I will say, going back to why I want to be clear on this. I think Click Funnels is an amazing tool. It’s a great tool out there too, to get sells and upsells and things like that. It’s a great tool for your business to use. I’m a firm believer in that Russell Brunson is intelligent. He is amazing. I’ve read all of his books. I believe he knows what he’s doing, but I will say, if you are looking to grow your business and build an empire, I personally believe that you need a solid website. You need to be doing SEO, paid ads, Facebook ads. You need to have all those things established. And then if you want to go out and test, click funnels and build it out on a sub domain, go for it. It’s a great tool to use.
That’s a great tool to test, and it’s a good thing to have in place. But I will say if you are, like I said, if you’re looking to build an empire, if you want to build a ever forever lasting business, right, you need to have a website. You need to be doing search engine optimization. You need to be doing Facebook ads, Google paid ads, email marketing, all those things need to be happening for your success. Now, this is a particular instance of what I’ve seen happen. This is kind of what I’ve projected. I guess you could say with Click Funnels, if you’re using Click Funnels, continue to use it, but have a website on the backend. That’s an actual business website with an about page. And yeah, you say you can build all those things out on click funnels, but my argument will be with you.
It’s not super SEO friendly when it comes to those types of things. Yes. You can go in there and add each tags and things like that. But at the end of the day, you have for a service-based company is what I’m preaching about right now. You have a WordPress website and you have it set up for lead generation and you have a blog where you do all your SEO stuff. You have some SEO stuff done on your pages as well, but then go out and test your click funnels, go build out a sub domain and test out a click funnel and see how it converts. Now, I personally have done tests as well. My landing on my landing pages with Click Funnels versus WordPress, and guess what? It converted better for me personally, WordPress converted better and my theme and my process, et cetera. So that’s my ramp. Basically. I’m a huge believer in WordPress. I’m a huge believer in click funnels as well. But take my advice. I promise you, you will not regret it. If you implement this stuff and your business, like I’m telling you right now.
