Episode 80 of the marquee I podcast. This is Taylor Timothy, your host guys. Today we’re gonna be talking about a new tab that has popped up inside Facebook ads manager. So it’s called the Facebook. Yeah. So brand safety is the new tab. So was always spending more time and drive, right?
What is the Brand Safety Tab?
So guys, the brand safety tab and things like that, what is this thing? So basically how I look at it, so you guys can kind of understand if you guys are running Google paid ads, it’s technically just another way of a ne negative keyword. It’s the same kind of concept, right? Basically you’re telling Facebook, I don’t want my ads to show up here.
So basically they’re calling it a block list. So basically you can block specific websites, you can block specific app stores, you can block different Facebook URLs, you can block different videos inside of Facebook and so on and so forth. So basically inside this list you’re going to have to create a CSV file to upload into your Facebook ad account. And you can have up to 10,000 lines. So if you guys want to go through an entire list of 10,000 lines, you guys can go up there and upload all those different things.
Block Audience Network on Content
Um, one thing I do want to bring up, so basically this block list is going to be blocking things on the audience network in a sense or instant articles and instream videos. So if, if you truly don’t want to go through that list, you could potentially just uncheck the audience network and you could uncheck the instant articles and the instream videos as well. So it’s really up to you guys.
Run Facebook Ads in Newsfeed
Obviously the best results that I see when running Facebook ads is obviously in the newsfeed and in the right hand column and in the news feeds of Instagram and stories. So the thing is these places that we can go out there and block, yes, we can go out there and block them, but generally speaking, I probably, um, don’t run my ads there. So that’s just a little tip and trick for you guys. As far as the brand safety goes. Like I said, guys, it’s basically a negative keyword list, just like on over on Google. Paid ads. So go over and check that out. Build out your list if you need to. Other than that, guys, peace.
