What’s up guys. It’s Taylor Timothy. And today we’re gonna be talking about how to get those amazing content ideas. A lot of people have asked me lately, what do you do? Or how do you figure out what types of content you should be creating for your business? So let’s not waste any more time and dive right in.
Searching For Content
first things first before we even dive into this video, guys realize it is not rocket science. A lot of times people overthink this entire process and really it’s super simple.
1. Go To Google Search
So the first thing that you guys need to do to create this content is you need to go to your best friend. And all of our best friends out there, it’s Google. We’re always googling things all of the time.
So what I do when I start going out to create content ideas, I take a question such as this one, how to create amazing content, post it inside of the search bar over on Google. And what will happen is I start searching. So you hit search and you scroll down all the way to the bottom of the page on Google. And Google will give you an entire list of suggested searches. Basically Google’s telling you people that searched this term, they’ve also been searching these terms as well.
Look At Suggested Search Results
So there’s a ton of ideas right there, right there. There’s probably 10 ideas that you can go out and start creating content for your business. Now the other trick in Google is you can start to type the title or the search and it will give you other suggested results right below that search. So again, there are tons of ideas right there that you can go out and start creating content.
2. YouTube Search
The second thing that I do is I go over on Youtube and honestly I repeat this same process. I search and I also look at the suggested searches over on Youtube. So youtube and Google are literally your best friend when it comes to figuring out content ideas.
Common Questions People Ask
The second thing I want to talk about is common questions people ask you. So for example, this video I had people ask me these questions and now what am I doing? I’m now creating a piece of content around what people have been asking me. So think about all those questions people ask you all the time, the common questions. If someone asks you, write it down and create an entire content list that can help you guys go out there and start creating more content.
Simple Rules Of Creating Content
The next thing I want to talk about guys is just some simple rules of thumb when going out there and creating your content.
1. Content Needs To Solve Problems
The first thing is your content needs to solve people’s problems. In my own opinion, opinion, Taylor, I believe that the cool video days are kind of over. People are all out there looking for education. People want to be educated. People want to continue pushing everything up. They want to learn more. So more contact. Educating people and helping solving their problems is going to be a huge benefit to your business.
2. Content Needs To Look Decent
The second thing is your content just needs to look decent. I mean, it’s not rocket science here. We all have good phones. We all have phones. A shooting like four k now, and a lot of times those videos convert the best. So from my experience, sometimes the high production videos convert worse than just the guy that shot his video on his iPhone. So just make it look decent.
3. Content Needs Good Audio
Third thing is good audio, so good audio. What I mean by that, you don’t need all this like crazy audio equipment to get good audio. It just needs to be decent and not too distracting. If it’s distracting audio, they’re going to leave.
4. Content Needs Good Lighting
The fourth thing is good lighting. The truth is you don’t need to go out there and buy a lighting kit. If you really want to go over on Amazon, they’re like 50 bucks, but the truth is you can go walk over to your window, stick your face near the window, have your camera right there, and honestly, this is good lighting.Don’t have a dark video.
5. Stop Making Excuses
The fifth thing I want to talk about is stop making excuses on why you’re not creating content. Creating content is one of the most important things that you can be doing for your business.
Think about that guy, that posts on Facebook that he starting a business and six months later he posts again, oh, my business is going, okay, well it’s because monk too. Everyone forgot that you even started a business month three, everyone forgot in month four and now you’re reminding them again on the sixth month that you’ve actually started your business.
So in all honesty, I myself have been this guy before and now I’m going out there and making a difference and starting and creating as much content as I possibly can. My podcast once a week, I have a podcast coming out and now with these videos, once a week you’re going to be seeing at least a new video. So go out there, create content, don’t make excuses and just go out there and create.
